Mutts of the Month
July — The three little pigs
“Hi guys, over here!”
“No, over here!”
“Don’t forget me down here!”
I guess it doesn’t really matter which one of us you see first, because we’ll all find our forever homes eventually… as soon as our hair grows back and people stop mistaking us for a very rare breed of black and white pig!
We’re two boys and one girl, and when we arrived at the kennels a couple of weeks back, we were a little on the bald side – hence the ‘Three Little Pigs’ title they gave us. Thankfully, we don’t need to go down the Wayne Rooney route. Our hair will grow back all by itself, and much of it has already, thanks to the TLC we’re getting.
Our dominant breed is Collie, but there’s Spaniel and Jack Russell in there too. Luckily, our personalities haven’t been affected by our shaky start and bad hair days, and the folks here say that we are ‘friendly, funny and happy’. We are your typical nosey pups, needing to figure out the world as soon as possible in order to conquer it.
These pups are just three of many Mayo and Galway rescue dogs at Connemara-based Mutts Anonymous Dog Rescue and Adoption (MADRA) looking for a loving home. All dogs will be neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Please see www.madra.ie, visit MADRA’s Facebook page or call or text Marina on 086 8149026.
